Sara shouted at the top of her lungs:

—We're not afraid of you!

Helena and Adrian replied in unison as Alex held the relic:

—We are stronger together!

The relic's red light exploded, disintegrating tentacles, roots, and fragments of flesh that tried to ensnare them. Each blow they received seemed to increase their willpower, transforming pain into power. Blood spurted from everywhere, mingling with the dark liquid that coated the ground, creating pools that reflectedtheir worst nightmares.

"This isn't over yet!" Alex shouted as they advanced together toward the heart of the shadow.

The tentacles attacked with increasing speed and force, tearing flesh, ripping through clothing, and slashing at skin. The Library trembled with each impact, like a living being thatShe suffered and struggled to stay on her feet. Blood mingled with the red mist, creating swirls that seemed to take the form of demons and impossible creatures.

Sara cut a tentacle that was trying to wrap around her, screaming in pain.

—I can't take it anymore!

"Yes, you can!" Alex shouted, pushing her forward. "Every step brings us closer to the core."

The shadow let out a roar that echoed in all directions, and from the mist emerged new grotesque figures, attempting to devour them. Each one was a reflection of their worst fears, combining mutilation, dismemberment, and psychological torture into a single form.

"Stay together!" Adrian shouted, pushing away a tentacle that threatened toTear it apart—. Strength lies in our unity.

Finally, they reached the core of the shadow: a concentrated mass of pulsating black flesh, covered in eyes and open mouths that emitted silent screams. Alex lifted the relic and plunged it directly into the monster's throbbing heart.

A burst of red light filled the chamber, disintegrating tentacles, roots, and fragmentsof flesh. The shadow let out one last deafening roar that echoed in their minds, mingling all the human and animal voices it had absorbed. The Library shook violently, and the pulsating flesh began to collapse in on itself.

The four collapsed to the ground, exhausted, covered in blood and sweat, with open wounds but alive. The shadow had been seriously wounded, and the Library was quieter, though still alive.

Alex took a deep breath, looking at his friends.

—We did it... the core has been wounded.

Sara hugged him, her tears mixed with blood.

—Together... always together.

Helena sighed, wiping the blood from her hands.

—The shadow is still alive... but it is weakened.

Adrian looked at the extinguished relic and murmured:

—We have survived the toughest test... but the final confrontation still awaits us

Alex nodded, looking at the core's exit.

—Each step brought us closer to the truth and the final confrontation. The shadow is wounded, but it still lurks. Our strength lies in our unity, and that is what wewill allow them to get out alive.

The four of them moved slowly toward the exit, aware that the Library was still alive, but now they knew they could face it together and that the final battle was yet to come.closer than ever.
